We are a shooting range located in Valdosta Ga. We have 3 Rifle Ranges.The first has steel plates out to 200 yards, one for paper target out to 100-yards, and a 600-yard steel plate range (Members-only). We also have a stationary target shotgun range, 50-yard steel plate pistol range and 3 private pistol ranges (Members-only). We also have a fully automated wobble trap clay shooting field.

RANGE RULES

  1. No alcoholic beverages  shall be possessed on Olympia Bend Shooting range.
  2. No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs is permitted on a  Olympia Bend Shooting range.
  3. No smoking is permitted on or near the firing line.
  4. Non-shooters must remain at least six feet behind the firing line whenever any shooter is at the firing line.
  5. Tracer or any ammunition considered to be incendiary or explosive is prohibited on the firing range.
  6. Targets must be constructed of paper only and used only on Olympia Bend Target Stands.
  7. NO Ground level targets  all targets must be located so that a bullet will strike between the base and halfway up the backstop.
  8. No shooting at flying or thrown objects is allowed.
  9. All children (18 years old or younger) must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult 18 years old or older.
  10. All objects, trash, targets, and spent cartridge hulls must be removed by firing range users when leaving the range.
  11. Range use is allowed only in accordance with range hours.
  12. Shooters shall fire only at the target directly down range of that person’s position. Do Not Shoot Cross RANGE
  13. Any person using Olympia Bend firing ranges must wear hearing and eye protection.
  14. Double tapping or rapid fire is prohibited. Shooters shall allow at least one second between shots.
  15. NO RAPID FIRING.
  16. NO TANNERITE OR EXPLODING TARGETS
  17. DO NOT SHOOT AT THE GROUND OR ANY OBJECTS ON THE GROUND 
  18. NO ARMOR PIERCING OR MIL SURP AMMO
  19. NO 50 CALS 

Gun Handling Rules

  1. Any firearm must be unloaded and either cased or have its’ action open, except when it is at firing line and is being used for firing.
  2. In the event of a firearm malfunction, the shooter shall keep his/her firearm pointed down range, advise all persons at the firing line of the malfunction, and unload as soon as possible.
  3. In the event of a malfunction of another shooter’s firearm, all firearms must be unloaded with actions open for the duration of the malfunction.
  4. All firearms on the firing line must be grounded and unloaded, with actions open whenever anyone is downrange.
  5. Muzzles must be pointed downrange for all firearms on the firing line.
  6. The muzzle of every firearm when in the firing position must be in front of the front edge of the bench upon which it rests.

Some US states prohibit perceived advertising or marketing of firearm related products to persons under 18 years of age.
